product ok
This product was just OK, if there were not so many parts to clean, it would be much better. Makes a lot of juice. Just OK

Lotsa juice
My sister bought the Jack Lalanne juicer for my mother, but she did want it so she gave it to me. I had been wanting one for a long time and was happy to get it. I am not disappointed. I haven't had any problems except for having to take everything apart to clean it every time and getting some of the pulp off of the mesh screen. Other than that, it works great! It makes a lot of juice and it's sturdy. I haven't had any problem with the motor or anything else, so those who did must have bought a defective one. I love it!

A Great Investment
It comes with a suggestion recipe book to let you know that juicing is just not for juicing. There's recipes for dressings and soups as well which I thought was really cool. Especially for a first time juicer like me. The price is well worth it too. To me it's actually a steal. This is my first juicer, so this decision was as nerve racking as buying my first car or first house. I finally came to the conclusion that it was now or never and I'll take the loss. I think I did extremely well with this. My girlfriend was always coming over to use mine because she thought she couldn't afford one like this yet. When I told her the price, she was astounded. That is because, it juices fruits n veggies whole. As long as it can fit in the tube you don't have to cut anything down. Just don't trie pits and I'm wondering about nuts. Can someone inform me if they know?

Disapointed
I have had a Jack Lalanne Juicer for many years. I recently upgraded to the deluxe stainless-steel model believing that the stainless steel would be on the inside where the juice is formed and captured. I was disappointed to find out that the stainles steel was on the outside only. I do not care what the outside finish is, my concern is the material that comes in contact with the juice. .Jack Lalanne's JLSS Power Juicer Deluxe Stainless-Steel Electric Juicer

Not what I expected
The machine did not perform as shown on tv, I still had to cut my apples to make them fit into the machine, not like shown on tv. My extractor section had to be cleaned because it bacame plugged before I could finish juicing. And the juice spout is so low that you could only use a small cup when catching your juice.

Breville's two speed juice fountain plus with 850 watts and 14,000 RPM's is beautifully designed in Chrome color and has a transparent smoked pitcher
Customer Review :
Best juice I have ever had!
Decided to start juicing and LOVE it. Saw that this model was recommended by Martha Stewart, so I went for it. Though it is fairly large, it fits on my counter perfectly. Fairly easy to clean, definitely use a bag for the pulp. Doesn't move around on the counter.

Great Juicer/excellent price.
I have had this juicer for awhile now. Love it. Well worth the price. We juice nearly everyday and it just keeps going and going.

NOT Happy!
Just purchased this juicer today and only ran about 12 carrots through it and it quit working. It just stopped. I got maybe 15 oz. of juice and that was it. I have let it cool down and it still won't work...

juicer - too much work for the results
The Breville juicer looked great(I ordered two as gifts), but it took a long time to assemble; took a long time to juice a minimal number of apples(2), and I suspect will take a really long time to clean and store. Consequently - returned both of the juicers to Amazon. Color me disappointed!

Juicer
We researched many juicers before deciding on the Breville JE95XL and couldn't be happier with our decision. We had borrowed a friends juicer and after receiving the Breville found that it did a much better job of extracting juice, the pulp was drier and the easy of clean-up was much better. Overall a great juicer.

Wonderful
Had this a few weeks and so far it's been just wonderful. Can blend large sized fruits and lots of it at a time. The jug your juice flows into even has it's own fitted lid so you can store in fridge. I highly recommend this juicer. I'm that impressed I'm purchasing one for my daughter too. Delivery was very fast from Radio City Auctions, via Amazon.

Best Juicer
I don't know if this is the best juicer out there, but i do know it is one of the best juicers, it has a good strong motor that allows you to juice anything you like with little or no effort. I love my juicer and you will too.

Frighteningly powerful juicer
Several years ago I was in the market for a new juicer. I had gotten really tired of my old Black & Decker. It was a royal pain in the butt to use and clean. It had an odd shape and pitiful 2 cup (~425ml) juice capacity. Since I was buying a new one, I thought I might as well do it right and pony up for a higher-end model that would get more mileage.
I had never heard of Breville before (they're Australian), but all the positive reviews convinced me. Aside from the housing, this product does not disappoint. The paint job makes it look like metal, but it's plastic. Setup is very easy. Everything aligns with notches, with spring-loaded mechanisms on the locking arm and a grinding basket that snap in place with ball bearings. True to the description, it fits whole apples and is frighteningly powerful. The motor sounds like a jet engine and it forcibly ejects juice and pulp out opposite directions of the machine. Uncut fruits and vegetables can go in the thing, saving time and effort. I juice whole carrots, celery stalks, apples, pears, beets, and tomatoes without having to cut them.
Because it spins a lot faster than other juicer, it extracts a lot more juice... and very quickly like a centrifuge. The liquid doesn't just trickle out by gravity like most juicers I've use. It is forcefully expelled, so be sure the collection pitcher is under the spout the moment your food contacts the blade. The juice flows out very fast in a steady stream. I don't much like the amount of froth that whips up during the extraction process, but it can be skimmed off. (So as not to waste anything, I scoop it out with a spoon and eat/drink it).
The machine works best if the plunger is slowly pushed down, not forced in. I can only imagine that some of the problems experienced by other reviewers is due to improper use. Proper technique is explained in the manual. The ejected pulp is dryer (but it depends on the fruits or vegetables being juiced of course). With my old B&D, I'd scoop out the pulp and run it through the machine 2 or 3 more times and still get juice. With this Breville, doing so doesn't yield much more. What to do with all that pulp? I sometimes mix a spoon of the it back into the juice to get some of the lost fiber, but most times I just empty the pulp bucket into the compost bin. The back of the manual has recipes for using the spent fibers, like meatloaf and other food ideas.
Cleaning is very easy with a sponge and some warm water. I clean the mesh part with a toothbrush. Cleaning should be done soon after use so the pulp doesn't harden and become even harder to remove.
A few design innovations are worth mentioning, since this machine is designed for use in food service: the toggle switch that is easy to flip, with fingers, elbows, or whatever body part you have free. The ring-pull plug is the first I've seen on an appliance. It makes unplugging very easy, especially if your hands are slippery, or if there's an emergency.
Despite what some reviewers claim about high-velocity juicers "killing" enzymes, this is just bad science. Enzymes are not alive to begin with (they are proteins), so they cannot be killed. They can be destroyed with heat, but not killed. Another claim is that high RPM juicers heat your juice, destroying nutrients. This is also baloney. I have yet to create hot juice with this machine. The food contacts the blade for no more than a few seconds before it is violently pulped and flung against the mesh walls and extracted. Any heat generated from the friction would be in fractions of a degree.
With this juicer, you and your family can have fresh, nourishing juice that is healthier and cheaper than what you can buy at the supermarket. A very good machine that, with proper care and use, should last for years.

Breville JE900 Juice Fountain Prof. Juice Extractor
This juicer is really good. As I was flipping through the owner's manual, I saw the recommendation that you put five(!) carrots at once into the hopper to save time, and I knew this was not the old Acme I had in college. Seriously, whole apples? Well. whole small apples. It extracts very well.. So here's the deal: washing and cutting (if necessary) the fruit, veggies - two minutes. Time spent extracting - two minutes. Clean up - five minutes. This thing is powerful, and gives me much-needed nutrients I don't always otherwise get. Two thumbs up!

Loven it
Granted this is my 1st juicer. I did spend months researching juicers, reading reviews, and comparing prices. I recently became an empty nester and no longer HAVE to cook diner every night and read about all the benefits of juicing, so really wanted one for a diner alternative and improved health.
I really wanted masticating (single gear) juicer, but I was not willing to fork out that kind of money, especially if I had no idea if I would enjoy juicing or if I would juice once and put it in the kitchen appliance graveyard. The Breville JE900 Juice Fountain is a centrifugal juicer and rated top on many list present on the Internet. The price is decent, so I bought it. Could not be happier! #1 - Very important to me is clean-up. This was a breeze to put together and is a breeze to clean up. I do recommend putting a bag in the pulp collector as this make clean-up even easier! #2 - Juices very well. I have put: whole apples, papaya, red cabbage, squash, whole pears mangos (have to pit), grapes, strawberries, blue berries and carrots and lots more. It only take 3-4 small fruits/veggies to make a good 16oz. pulp come out pretty dry (but not as dry as saw dust) I Want to try spinach, but have not tried yet. #3 - One of the draw backs to a centrifugal juicer is the foam, however the Breville JE900 Juice Fountain comes with a special pitcher to collect the juice that strains off the foam, so that is no longer a problem. #4 - Taste - YUM!!!!! I thought being healthy would mean sacrificing taste, so I juiced for my 1st time and was prepared to hold my nose to get the juice down, but was surprised by how yummy it was and actually filling. #5 - Recipes. The juicer comes with recipes which are helpful. Honestly I have not tried any, but they're there if you need them. #6 - No wastes. I used the pulp to make a zucchini, apple, carrot, pear bread and it too was yummy! You can also use the pulp to put in your garden or compost, so there is really no waste. #7 - Health benefits - no need to expand on the health benefits of juicing.
I have not been disappointed by any of the juices I have tried. It is kind-of fun to come up with new combos.
Now my mom and sister want one for Christmas - juice on!
