Great for the office

I received this fridge yesterday, by FedEx. It has no dents, and looks good in white. It was easy to unpack, and it went nicely under my desk. It doesn't make a lot of noise, and on setting 4 (the "default"), it cools just about right. I wish I could have two two-litre bottles in it, but I guess I just have to cool them in the big fridge and move them in here, that's OK. It has bigger space in it than I imagined from the picture, yet it looks a lot smaller. It's also not very heavy, which is nice!

Overall, I am pleased with this purchase. The fridge was cheap, got here in under a week, doesn't make too much noise (if any), and cools my stuff as it should. Happy shopper here!

Just right and cheap

I have owned this product for about two weeks. It was a little nicked up during shipping, but it survived intact.

So far, I am completely satisfied with it. It was just the right size for my application and it works according to the manufacturer's specifications. The little ice tray is cute and the freezer effectively freezes water. It keeps my juice and half&half cool. It fits easily under my work desk, which was a major requirement. I don't notice any obstrusive operating noises because of the ambient white noise in the building. Also, it was comparatively cheap at 89 bucks, including shipping. After reading the other reviews I was somewhat hesitant to select this product, but I considered the low risk factor and decided it was worth taking a chance on it. Also, I have never had any problems dealing with Amazon in the past.

UPS had quite a time delivering this, and I have no idea WHY? It ended up in Baltimore, MD (I'm in DC) and they kept saying they did not have a goo d enough address, funny, since all UPS and FedEx is delivered to this same address, no problem.
FINALLY, after almost 2 wks, a few calls, etc it DID arrive and slightly bent on the side, no doubt from it's "scenic tour" on a few trucks,.. but it works great, and is the perfect size!

I am very dissapointed with this item! I makes a gurguling noise every time it kicks on. I have it in a building that is not attached to my house. It had a dent in the top edge when I opened it up. If I was told that I would be receiving a seconds item, then I would not have mined. NO WONDER IT WAS A GREAT PRICE! I have bought other compact refrigerators and you can not hear them running. I guess they were not seconds!

Worst Item delivery and item ever from amazon

So I have so many different problems with both the delivery and the actual item was awful. The minute I took off one strip of tape off the refrigerator's packing. The Styrofoam disintegrates onto my floor. The box was so beat up that I had to toss it. Then the refrigerator itself was fine for three days and defrosted by itself spilling water all over the floor. When I tried to send it back, I had to go out and buy my own packing materials. And since the box was a weird size, I had to get a slightly bigger box and the shipping cost was in its 60's (not counting what I spent to pack it and the actual box). It was pretty awful. DON'T BUY THIS ITEM!

Not inexpensive when all is considered

" was designes to operate at approximately 20-25 {degrees} below room (ambient) temperature when set at maximum settings." Quote owners manual page 6. {yes its mis-spelled there }

Bought unit 11/12/07 it stopped cooling May 08. Its warmer inside then room temperature.
Attempted to contact company. No response to email after 10 days, called the company. After 10:48 minutes on hold my call was answered. After I ship them `certified mail' a bunch of items costing me $5.00-7.00 and send them a check for $15.00 shipping charge, they will send me a replacement unit.

I did ask the rep to wave the shipping cost, since the company is replacing the unit after they found out model #. No further questions were asked. They said no and I posted this review.

SO for the cost of a larger refrigerator and not counting all of the hassle I have been through. I now have a working cooler and luke-warm soda. This 'replacement unit' will be on craig's list as soon as it gets to my home.

Good fridge for light use

Overall, a good refrigerator. It gets cold, but not very cold. The shelf on the door is probably the warmest spot to put things.

Didn't last 5 months!

DON'T BUY THIS OR ANY HAIER PRODUCT. Stopped working in less than 5 months. Would've been under warranty except it was a gift, and my friend paid cash at the time and can't find the receipt. Haier doesn't care they'll fix it for you for $140 hmmm that's more than it cost. Customer service is sketchy at best, first woman didn't even want to deal with me, so she just transferred be to the repair dept, who kept saying I could send it in for $140 minimum repair. Ridiculous. I Will NEVER buy a Haier product again. Whoever heard of a refrigerator that doesn't last 6 months.
My sisters old one (another brand) that I gave her to take to college still works after handed down to me then to her. 20+ yrs still working. Haier 5 MONTHS.
They're really a sad excuse for a company.

Great Fridge for the Price

This little thing works great. Though I only keep sodas in it, it keeps them cold enough to form a think ice layer in the soda cans. Works great and has a real compressor! I've used for a month now and have no problems to report. If I do come across any issues, I will edit my review.

It doesn't get cold enough to keep food fresh for very long. I am now looking for a better brand of mini frig. I gave it two stars only because it's very lightweight and maintenance free.

Arrived very damaged

I am returning this because, like the other reviews, it arrived with 2 very large dents in the door. It was also missing one of the leveling feet in the front, so the other one had to be removed in order to make it somewhat level, although it wasn't and it really needed the other foot. Definitely not worth the price, and for me it's worth a return. It is very light and flimsy....it may chill well, but I'm not going to give it a shot.

Packaging not up to Amazon standards

You can believe all the other reviews condemning Haier flimsy packaging. I don't understand why Amazon does not add an outer layer of heavy cardboard to Haier products; that might prevent a lot of customer dissatisfaction and improve Haier's rep!

Serves its purpose.

I purchased this fridge to keep lab media/solutions chilled. It does the job well and takes up little space in the lab area. The only downside to this item is that it arrived dented and the stupid white protection in the film on the front door doesn't peel off completely at the edges of the door. The packaging for this item is pretty bad but I guess that is what you get for a cheap fridge.

Good little refrigerator

It was packed terribly. It was mostly open when I received it. The plastic covering on the door was not very easy to take off, but SO WHAT.

It's a nice product that keeps food cold. It's a good size. The stainless finish looks nice. I understand the other reviews, but I was interested in the refrigerator not the packaging, the plastic covering on the front or the fact that it may get scratched. I recommend it.
