Question : Anyone know how to make coffee pods for the one cup makers?
I love my new one cup at a time coffee maker but the coffee pods are soooo expensive. I would appreciate it if anyone has any ideas. Thanks
Answer:
What you can do is when the old coffee pods are used, don't throw them away, instead, open a tiny corner of the pod, empty out the old coffee, rinse it out, dry it out and refill them with fresh coffee, (from a can), then seal the open part with a paper clip, that should work fine but of course eventually they will have to be thrown away and a newer one refilled. If anything, this will save you SOME money.

i got the whole system with a pod storage container and a bag of pods for a special "try it" promotion for $15 ($79 value). i was afraid of the cost of pods too. if you get them on sale, they're not bad. i got a bag of 16 sumatra pods for $3 the other day.

ive just purchased the dolce gusto coffee machine and its amazing, the coffee is delicious and its so easy to use.but now the free coffee that comes with it has almost ran out, and the pods seem to be slightly expensive. i was wondering if anyone else has this machine and knows if theres another type of coffee pod that will fit in it?thanks

I've never used one of those machines, so I don't know what type of filter it has. If it has a normal espresso-machine type filter, just use proper coffee, tamp it down, etc. Although if it doesn't (which I guess is true), I suppose any coffee pod of the right size would work.
