Question : So I'm not sure about this?
So there will be seed to be thrown on the tables in cute containers. And there will be ONE note pad at each table to write advice, memories, funny stories on their wedding day, and so on and so forth, but they will not be taken home. There will be a candy buffet, but I'm not sure that's considered a favor.I am decorating little cowbells with ribbon and a tag with the purpose of them on the bell, but those are for whatever, not necessarily a favor. Just another dressed up wedding tradition. I have all this stuff I am using as little quirks, but I have NOTHING that is a little favor from me to them. I know favors are going out of "style" or something. Well it's a good thing I don't keep up with such things. So I had the idea of the little trees for actual favors. That's about all I got. No site I've seen has anything i'd pay nearly that much for or anything that is me. What are some favor ideas other than candy? There's already going to be a candy buffett.My colors are turquoise, white and silver. It's a southern wedding. Laid back, fun, US, and country. So what do you suggest. All the other things are just dressed up wedding accessories! If I do baskets, what could I put in them?:] I have like a year and a half to buy up things on sale and at antique malls so cost is gonna be minimal. I just want something not FOOD that they may take home. I really don't care if a .08 cent bell gets thrown away. i'll probably end up throwning them away myself, and keeping one or two for a shadowbox of my wedding!

I agree with Blunt. I remember your question from yesterday or a few days ago. Make it easy on yourself and have the candy bar be the favor. Honestly, you're making it way too complicated.We're having a candy bar, and providing guests with mini Chinese take-out boxes to take the candy home in. That's plenty.Put the money and effort into something the guests will care about, like the food. Trust me, I've asked so many people about favors, and the general consensus is that unless it's a really high quality item (which is never the case unless you're going to a rich person's wedding), or it's edible, they never keep the favor. They throw it away.

A monitor is nice in a bigger home but for a small home just a conveinance plus to far away like outside they usually dont work to well anyways. I never used my playpen or portable crib there nice to have if you are outside alot or have older kids around. Theres two kinds of johnson baby soap one is in a cloudy bottle and other in a clear the one in the cloudy bottle seemed to burn my sons eyes the one in the clear doesn't. my son went through about 5 onesies a day in the begining because his poop was runny and it always went up his back and the gowns with the open bottom are heavenly hope this helps congrats

We have one and its nice b/c as a new mom you will want to run in the room everytime you hear something on it. With the monitor you can just look on the screen instead.Diaper Genie II Elite-People have differing opinions on this item. I have the standard diaper genie and love it. Wish I would have gotten elite for foot peddle. I would recommend getting a separate trash can for wet diapers b/c the diaper genie will fill up quick if you use it for both.Changing Table-Nice item may want to consider getting a low dresser instead that you can set your changing pad on. I know that the checklists provided by the baby stores are a little overkill (really!? a switch plate cover is a "must-have"? and I "must-have" a crib AND a cradle AND a play yard???). The new diaper genie is AWESOME!!! My sister has the older model and it stinks, but the new one is great!! I agree with the socks, long ones though - the ankle ones just pop off or cut off circulation. You'll need one of those little nose sucker things for the snot. :) baby gates, for either doorways or stairs. the playyard has been a godsend. If you are going with pampers, you won't really need the cloth diapers.....Good luck and Congrats!!

I have an idea of what I need, but could use a little help. I know that the checklists provided by the baby stores are a little overkill (really!? a switch plate cover is a "must-have"? and I "must-have" a crib AND a cradle AND a play yard???). Let me know what baby item(s) you consider as "must-have" and which things that you thought you needed but could have done without. Please feel free to include "nice-to-have" items as well.This is what's on my registry so far:*bumbo & tray*exersaucer*snuzzler & Britax Marathon 70 convertible seat & seat protector (we have leather interior...also, my best friend has offered their infant seat if the convertible doesn't work for us--it has never been in an accident)*sleep sacks (Halo) & swaddles (aden & anais)*changing pad & cover (have a space for the changing area so don't need a changing table)*swing & bouncer (FP My Little Lamb)*diapers & wipes & ointment (Pampers diapers & wipes, California Baby ointment)*moby wrap & baby bjorn (I prefer the wrap style, DH prefers the baby bjorn)*diaper bag*pack n play & extra sheets*diaper genie & refills (have two small dogs, hoping this will make diapers inaccessible to them...looked at Munchkin as well, but the door opens on the side & they will figure it out)*puj tub & California Baby wash products (Calming Body Wash & Super Sensitive lotion)*Medela bottles & breast milk storage bags/bottles & accessories (best friend has the swing pump & no longer uses it)*cloth diapers (to use as burp rags, changing table liners, etc.) & burp cloths*monitor*nail clippers & thermometer*nursing cover*sleep sheep sound machine*crib & mattress (MIL has purchased bedding set & boppy)*Britax B-Nimble stroller (reclines completely)*bottle drying rack*wipes warmer & diaper caddy (Prince Lionheart)*a few first toys (lamaze mirror, etc.) & baby gymWe are moving when baby is 4 months old, and would prefer to purchase anything that he needs beyond 4 months after the move so that we don't end up moving a bunch of extra. I did put the exersaucer on the registry since I think it will be good to have during unpacking after the move (he'll be just about at the age to be able to use it). Also, I did not register for pacifiers. The lactation specialist at the hospital where I deliver advised that I would be given several before we leave. They want me to use the Soothie ones, but only as needed.

Not worth buying because it only lasts a few weeks before baby is too big for it to use*sleep sacks (Halo) & swaddles (aden & anais)You only need the sleep sacks if you keep nighttime temperature below 68 degrees, otherwise the baby can overheat. We bought a lot of nightgowns and it was comfy for them and made diaper changes faster*changing pad & cover (have a space for the changing area so don't need a changing table)We bought a cover and have never used it. It is actually pretty unsanitary to use one unless you wash it every time a butt that has yet to be wiped sits on it.*swing & bouncer (FP My Little Lamb)Check the weight limit to make sure it will last for a while. Good swings hold up to 40 pounds. We had a battery kind but ditched them for plug-ins after spending $80/month on batteries*diapers & wipes & ointment (Pampers diapers & wipes, California Baby ointment)I have never used california baby ointment but Desitin heals them almost instantly*moby wrap & baby bjorn (I prefer the wrap style, DH prefers the baby bjorn)Is DH going to actually use it? I you intend to breastfeed, you will not want to give pacifiers for a few months.
