I want to cut down (or out) our use of paper napkins. I thought about using washcloths or bar towels, but I'd really like something a bit more "dinner table-ish". Do you have any good source? Any ideas? We're looking for a choice of colours if possible, but we're looking for seriously cheap ones, dont have much money left. We need 80 in total, and I live in Wolverhampton in the UK. On the left-hand side, under the fork(s) is the normal location. However, if you to place it on the plate itself, if it is held within a napkin ring, you may. Sometimes it is also found "above" the place setting, again, if it has a napkin ring on it. But if it is simply folded into the triangle, the left side is proper.Have a polite day.

I'm just curious really. Do they wash them or are they cheap enough that they can just keep producing new ones? If they get rid of them, where do they go from there? If they keep them, when (or how) do they determine when to get rid of them?

they wash them. If a person soils it beyond the ability of bleach they have to throw it out..

To me it is a toss up! Throw away the paper, or launder the cloth with bleach! I guess if you use the cloth with environmentally safe detergent, that would be the ticket!

Using paper napkins wastes trees but cloth table napkins uses a lot of water when you wash them. So which is best to use?

Since trees are harvested, replanted, and re-harvested, it doesn't waste trees. Water is taken from the stream, cleaned, and returned to the stream, water is borrowed, not wasted.So it comes down to class. For fine dining you put out the cloth, for casual dining put out the paper.

Question : Where can I get cheap cloth napkins for my wedding in bulk?
I am looking for approximately 300 cloth napkins to be used for my wedding. Sam's has them for cheap in white and a few other colors. I would like either white, chocolate, or light blue. Anyone has some suggestions? I want to buy instead of rent so that I dont have to worry about them being damaged or dirty. HELP!
