Question : Why didn't they place cushioned safety mats all around the World Trade Center for People?
Why did they send rescue into a burning building? Instead they could have put the flames out with multiple helicopters in the initial stages which would have prevented the buildings from falling. They let the buildings burn for too long without water. I am upset. They had time to do this..even to place safety mats, we have the technology for these things why aren't they being used?
Answer:
Finally after 9 years someone is asking the right questions! I understand that placing cushioned mats and some large airbags on the ground may not have saved all the jumpers, but something is better than nothing! It could even have improved evacuation if people on the lower floors could have jumped out into a cushion! Another thing is that we have helicopters that can spray water, now I don't think that by attempting to put out the fires in the higher floors would have prevented the collapse but it could have let the buildings stand longer, which could have given people more time to get out of the buildings! Also in 9/11 footage I saw some helicopters fly very close to the buildings, even in the smoke, so if helicopters were able to do that then why the hell did they not send in emergency helicopters with ladders to help those people on the top floors get out, for crying out loud they were waving flags and everything to be saved and how come no helicopters were sent to save them! Most disasters in history could be blamed on technology for having people fail to save the ones in trouble, like the Titanic and the Hindenburg, but in this one people just got sloppy, it was 2001 the technology was definately available to at least give a good attempt.

Question : Best place to get all season rubber floor mats for a 2010 honda odyssey?
The ones at the dealer replace the orignal carpeted floor mats but will not cover completely all the carpeted areas. Just wondering if there is other place to get floor mats that #1. I can just place over the carpeting and get full coverage and #2. Not pay such a ridiculous "dealer" price on floor mats!

Question : Can Plastic Canvas place mats be washed?
I have some place mats made of plastic canvas and worsted weight yarn. Can they be washed and if so, how do I wash them?
Answer:
Soak them in a sink with a mild soap like Woolite. Use only cold water so the colors won't run. Lightly sponge off any spots. Blot between 2 towels. When totally dry, spray on a coat of Scotch Guard to prolong the need to wash them again. PS. I forgot to make sure you thoroughly rinse any soap residue out of them with cold water.

Well i have bamboo place mats too, and i use my vacuum brush to clean them and get the food out of all the cracks. I hope this works for yours too because mine don't have fabric on them?

Question : I threw in a load of white laundry in my washer not realizing there were red place mats already in the washer?
My white clothes are all pink. What do I do? Bleach? Hot water? Scream?
Answer:
In my experience, the pink from red items usually fades in (cotton) clothes after a few washes. Just re-wash the clothes, asap. I don't believe you're supposed to use hot water because that'll "set" the color. I use bleach on white loads, but don't overdo it. Use about 3/4 c. per load.Good luck, I know it's a frustrating situation! Don't scream. :)
