Questions & Answers
Question : I accidently splattered tiny drips of water on my big screen tv. Can I get the tiny water particles out?
Ok so my cat bit me. I got mad. I threw a cup of water at him. There are tiny splatters of water on my husbands big screen tv. It's a Zenith HD tv. The water spots won't come out and the ones that I tried to "clean" out are worse and now left streaks. Is there ANY way to fix this or are we doomed?

Answer:
Not to worry! If you have a couple of those computer-screen wipes, they'll do the trick, and if not, below are a couple of other options that should work nicely:1) Use a clean lint-free cloth with the spray that they give you to clean your eyeglasses. Don't spray it directly on the TV. Spray it on the cloth first, and then wipe. This spray is usually available at most sunglass shops.2) Again using a clean lint-free cloth, dab it with a little alcohol... No, not scotch! The kind you'd find in a first-aid kit! The higher the percentage the better. Most times it will be around 85% which means that it leaves a slight residue, but it should be fine. Other times people have the higher grade 91% which is purer. Either one is better than water because it evaporates quickly and doesn't leave any oils behindCAUTION:A) Always test a small corner first as you never know how coatings and solutions will react to each other.B) Do not under any circumstances use windex! Windex typically contains ammonia which will damage most screens at a microscopic level. While we're on the subject... The same applies to your car's windows. The ammonia will damage the UV coating that is applied at the factory.I hope this helps!P.S. Make sure to dust the screen first, so that you don't end up smearing "mud" around it as you clean it. :-)

Question : Can you turn off the blood on the screen in black ops?
I know you can turn off the blood and gore, but can you make it so when you get hit, blood doesn't splatter on the screen?

Answer:
I know you can turn off the blood and gore, but can you make it so when you get hit, blood doesn't splatter on the screen?

Question : How do you clean your computer screen?
My computer screen is disgusting. And I know I should have taken better care of it, but it would be very helpful if I could get someone to tell me how I can clean the screen. There's finger prints, dust, and other random blobs of things splattered all over the screen, making it difficult sometimes to read things when the screen's in the sun. I have not damaged the actual screen, there's just stuff on top of it, and I would love to be able to remove it. Any ideas? Thanks

Answer:
a solution of half water half vinegar should do the trick. Dampen a cloth or paper towel with a little bit. Windex sprays are not sensitive enough for computer creen and keys,

Question : How can i clean my laptop screen with all those little splatters of saliva, etc.?
How can i clean my laptop screen with all those little splatters of saliva, etc.?

Answer:
Use a digital screen cleaner kit. Its cheap and its a liquid that will protect your monitor. Find it in any pc store

Question : After Effects Question: How do I make a video with a transparent background?
I'm trying to make a paint splatter logo appear in the bottom right of the screen. I'm shooting interviews and these will be the names of the people. I need to send these to my friend who has the interviews. So I will not have the ability to edit the entire file in after effects. How do I make a file in quicktime that will only be the small logo splattering in the bottom corner?

Answer:
You'll have to export the Quicktime with embedded alpha (transparency). If your friend is editing the video in Avid, you can download an Avid codec plug-in for After Effects. Final Cut probably has something similar.

Question : do splatters screens work?
do splatters screens work?

Answer:
Absolutely. The only tricky part is limiting splatter as the screen is removed for flipping burgers or stirring sausage. I have found that if you hold the screen about 2 inches up off the pan, the screen still stops most of the splatters. Cleaning isn't to bad, just run it through the dishwasher or some Dawn on a brush will do the trick. I have had the same one for 10 years and really like it. Easier to clean it then the whole stove top.

Question : How did my Easy Share LCD screen break?
I had my Kodak Easy Share C613 camera in its case in a backpack at a convention. I used it one day and it was fine. The next morning, I took it out and the screen was splattered with a leaf-shaped image. I can't remember it ever getting hit, i didn't drop it and I don't believe water got into it because my water was in a bottle and my camera was in its case. Any water that may have spilled would not likely damage a camera in a case. Any ideas?

Answer:
Was there any time you noticed your water level lower than it was supposed to be? Also, what kind of case was it? Hard plastic or something softer like neoprene or leather? Is the pattern consistent or has it changed? Impact damage will tend to show a consistent pattern since the same pixels are always going to be damaged. Water damage might change over time since the water could dry out.Give it a few days before you use it again. Sometimes water damage is repaired just by waiting and letting it dry. Continued use, may lead to the water causing a short.Backpacks take more abuse than your sometimes realize. It may have gotten bumped into, or you could have set it down and somebody accidentally kicked it. Too many scenarios to go through.

Question : Is there any way to disable the blood on Call of Duty 2?
I not that bothered by how the blood splatters on the screen, but it can get annoying sometimes when you can't see. I was wondering if you could disable the blood on this game.

Answer:
No there is no way to turn off the blood and gore in Modern Warfare 2.

Question : How do i make my laptop's video card work?
I've got a PC video game and everytime i load it it says "Freelancer does not recognise your video card so your video output might encounter problems" and when i play some parts of the screen kinda splatter across the screen, is there anyway i can set my video card (whatever that is) to work? or change the settings or something?

Answer:
it means your video card sucks and can't handle the game.

Question : How much to repair an HP laptop screen?
I'm not looking for an exact cost just a rough estimate. I can still use the laptop, there is just a large white brick line in the middle of the screen and then a black one going across that almost looks like paint splatter. I have no idea what happened to it. It was closed next to my couch when I went to sleep and when I woke up, it was broken. I'm suspecting a cat stepped on it or something.Anyone have a rough estimate? Also, would a regular warranty cover something like that?

Answer:
Chances are if it was physical damage, the warranty would not cover that. The warranty that comes with PC's covers anything that would be the fault of the manufacture (maybe HP is selling robotic cats now too hehe). My guess is about $100 to $130 for the screen, and $50 to $80 to install it (flat rate cost estimate) or 1 hour labor cost, whichever billing structure the business has in which you take it. Any decent computer repair store should be able to handle this task in under an hour, so their hourly labor rate may actually be cheaper than a flat rate. In fact, an hourly rate should be MUCH cheaper than the flat rate I quoted above. The task is very straight forward, but if you don't know what you are doing, you could damage the motherboard of the computer (MUCH more expensive to replace than a screen. ouch!) so I would not recommend replacing the screen yourself. Special screwdrivers may also be needed once you get inside of the laptop case, so I would highly recommend taking this to a repair shop.
