they are also called permanent coffee filters

The gold coffee filters (there are several kinds of permanent coffee filters, hemp being the best) come from a Swiss company, so I doubt wall-mart would have them, mainly because everything in wall-mart comes from China. I also doubt they would carry anything that would keep you from coming back.

 

Question : Coffee Filter baskets?
I don't understand that concept of a permanent coffee filter basket if you have to buy paper coffee filters anyway. I just bought a 4 cup Mr. Coffee Coffee pot and it has a permanent filter basket but in the picture and in the instructions it tells you to use paper filters. Anyone with an answer? Thanks.

You do not need paper with a permanent filter. Likely the instruction manual is older or covers models not equipped with the special filter.

the marker dots will travel up the coffee filter, and some colors may separate, such as purple separating into red and blue, etc, but you cannot know these exact measurements without conducting the experiment. Is there someone else in your class who you can borrow the materials from? Measure the distance from the original line where you drew the dots to the new location of the dots. The water and alcohol may have different measurements, but the ratios should be consistent.

I don't see a question. Are you asking where you can get the materials? Did you just arrive here from another planet? All those materials are easy to find. You probably have all of them in you home. If not, look in Dollar store, grocery store or drug store.

 

Question : DIY where can I buy Ultra Fine Stainless Steel Mesh(u.s. only)?
I want to make custom air filters for my pc and intend to use ultra fine mesh. I cannot find it at hardware stores- and really don't know another place to look. I can only find products that contain it, or for sale in bulk from china. I'm looking to get maybe 1x1m. ultra fine mesh has less then 1mm opening (the kind found in permanent coffee filters). I know of other diy methods for air filtering computers, I'm not interested. maybe there are other names for the material that might help me find it? Thanks for your help!

it comes with a permanent filter, which is standard size and can be used or not. i'd recommend using paper filters, for a better flavor coffee, but if you run out, you always have the permanent one as a back up.
