Questions & Answers
Question : To what extent are mains fed plumbed in coolers more environmentally friendly than bottled water coolers?
Just curious as to what the difference is between the bottled water coolers and the plumbed in water coolers?

Answer:
Bottled water is processed by reverse osmosis which removes everything.Plumbed coolers have a color, odor and taste removal filter only, typically.

Question : what does a cooler pc do better? Why buy water coolers for pcs and upgrade fans?
i dont understand why people buy water coolers for their computers, is there anything cooler computers do better than warmer ones?

Answer:
i dont understand why people buy water coolers for their computers, is there anything cooler computers do better than warmer ones?

Question : Do the containers Poland Spring provide for their water coolers contain polychlorinated biphenyls?
I recentcly read that PCB's can leach into the water which would of course be unhealthy.

Answer:
I dont think a large corporation would overlook that and expose themselves to potential lawsuits. Not after what happened with G.E. in Massachusetts. Lesson learned, I hope.

Question : can you buy a lock or something for water coolers?
Is there a lock you can buy for water coolers so your toddler doesn't get water all of the floor I know they have them on the hot side but we nned one for the cold side.

Answer:
If it works for the hot side then it should work for the cold side. The only other thing I can think of is keep the cooler in a place that your child cannot get to it.

Question : How do you cover up water coolers for a dinner party?
I have a couple of 5 gallon igloo water coolers that I'm using at an anniversary party to be held at a meeting place for about 60 to 65 people. I don't like the look of the big orange coolers sitting on the tables. I'm sure there is a way I can drape these to look a little more elegant without spending the money I don't have for nicer, more expensive drink dispensers. Any Ideas?

Answer:
Are they those cylindrical containers? You'll probably have them at the ends of the tables, right? How about taking some corrugated paper from the craft store and wrapping it around the tubs as best you can>>then cut a round piece to cover the top to tape over. (Not sure...but the paper may come in colors). But even so, you can then decorate it with flower garlands taped around, starting from the top--or start from top center and have garlands drape down all around it.Another idea (more involved): is to cut slits every inch in rows in the corrugated paper and weave colored ribbons (or do black and cream) like you're weaving a big placemat. Careful measurements will need to take place. Or simply tie ribbons (wide grosgrain ribbon) in the colors of the party around it and forget about cutting the slits. Be sure to work around the dispenser and let everyone know that it's water ;).EDIT: Or..you could put a bunch of flowers glued on the top cardboard and have ribbons hanging from it, or add a flower glued on the ribbons here and there.

Question : What is the best brand for home water coolers? Anyone have reviews?
I don't think I have the counter space for a table top model in my kitchen, so one of the stands is preferable. And....how much do people pay for delivery of the water jugs? Thanks so far to the first two who responded. It wasn't me who gave a hands down to you both. That's weird, because both of you gave valid opinions/information.

Answer:
Our land lord has a Deer Park dispenser. The dispenser was $40, I think it's just the basic one. Then they get 4 jugs delivered a month. I'm not sure how much they pay tho. Sorry. They give us free jugs so I dont know. They said it wasnt much and it's worth it since we all drink water.

Question : Can you buy a lock or something for water coolers?
Can you buy a lock or something for water coolers? Is there a lock you can buy for water coolers so your toddler doesn't get water all of the floor I know they have them on the hot side but we nned one for the cold side.

Answer:
I have a "baby gate" that closes off the entry to the kitchen. I can step right over it, but toddlers can't. The lock solution would be a little less convenient when you needed to get water.

Question : Where can I buy bottled water for water coolers?
Not from a water supplier I mean from a supermarket. In the UK please.

Answer:
I'm not sure what its called in the UK but in Ireland we have a shop actually its more like a warehouse its called mus-graves its were business buy food for there canteen and lil corner shops buy there sweets and so on I would say you would get it there!!I know they have the in the UK as i was in the one in Manchester like two years ago!GOOD LUCK!!!

Question : How do oxygen water coolers work?
How does an oxygen water cooler get the oxygen into the water? does it really work or is it just another gimmick?

Answer:
The oxygen is just a 'working substance' for the cooler.

Question : Question about water coolers?
I have a regular 5 gallon water cooler with the non-refillable bottles (they have to be exchanged) I noticed there are smaller water coolers designed for counter tops. Are there smaller water coolers like this, 1-2 gallons, that I can fill with another liquid, like kool-aid?I like that idea of the container with the spout, and understand the sticky sugar situation, but they don't make coolers specifically designed for this?

Answer:
I wouldn't put any other drinks through a small cooler like that because the sugar will make all the inside parts sticky. My best suggestion would be a larger bottle with a spout at the bottom (they advertise them in the spring as iced tea containers) to be kept in the fridge.EDIT: I don't think they make them for anything with water. There are problems associated with traces gunking up the inner-works that would make such an item, I would think, rather unmarketable. I think you can get the container I mentioned before for a couple dollars at Walmart or Target.
