Question : How long can 2 small goldfish go without food?
I'm planning on going on holiday for 2 weeks, maybe more. I have a 50 litre tank with 2 goldfish, 2 butterfly plecs and some live plants. Could I lower the temperature of the water so that the fish would go into hibernation? Or should I get the auto food dispensers? Thanks in advance. What i meant was, couldn't i gradually lower the temperature and trick the fish to go into hibernation for the 2 weeks, and then gradually raise the temperature again when i get back?

Answer:
I'd leave the temp and everything the same. If you have any algae in your tank at all, the fish will be perfectly fine with no one to come feed them. Your plants, though will NEED the aquarium light or they'll all die from no light. It's not so good to just leave the lights on the entire time. So, I'd invest your money in a timer for your lights instead of an auto feeder. I have all my tanks on a timer anyway even when I'm home because then I know the light is on for the right amount of time each day. You can buy a timer at any hardware store (or probably at Walmart too) and just plug the tanks' lights into it and choose the amount of time you want it to be on each day (mine are on for 10 hrs).Make sure to fill your tanks up a little extra high with water before you go because a lot of tank water will evaporate while you're gone.

Question : should i get a food dispenser or just a bowl for my rabbit?
should i get an food dispenser or just a bowl for my rabbit? i am going to be at school all day and i need to know if it would be better because some people say it would be better to get one and others to not because it over feeds them, what should i do?

Answer:
I use a bowl for one of my rabbits and she does great with it! They are easier for me because, when i go to give her food i can interact with her.

Question : How to overcome discipline issues with food?
I can't store anything in my refrigerator because I'll eat it right away. If I have a loaf of bread that is meant to be breakfast for a week (two slices a day) I'll end up eating the whole loaf in a couple of days.I've tried getting all my meals in restaurants and stores at meal time but it's expensive and I don't have that much control over the food either.I guess I'm looking for a locked food dispenser or something.

Answer:
Try taking a weekend and making completely premade meals for entire week, put them in containers, and put post it notes labeling them for which day you eat them and for which meal. This might seem drastic but it could also be kinda fun and at least worth trying for one week as an experiment. And be realistic, include 3 meals a day and healthy snacks.

Question : How much food can a cat eat in a week?
My cat is 7 years old.49 in cat years. How much food and water can last him for one week.I am going on vacation for a week and I have to leave him home.So I need to make sure he has plenty of water and food.I was thinking of a 3lb. food dispenser. But how much in water.

Answer:
It depends on the cat. If your cat is a nibbler, then it pry won't need a whole lot. If it is more of a ferocious eater, then it will need more. I think the 3 lbs of cat food for a week will be just fine. Far as water goes you can get maybe a cookie pan or buy a big watering dish (the kind that you pour the water inside it and it waters itself). Also if you can, you can hire or have someone volunteer to babysit or at least check on your kitty.

Question : What are the best toys/food dispensers to mentally stimulate a smart dog?
I have a pembroke welsh corgi. I have a kong and stuff it with treats and peanut butter and freeze it and that works great for a few hours. Just wondering if anyone else had some suggestions for really good treat dispensers and dog puzzles, etc, to mentally stimulate a smart dog.

Question : What is an automatic food dispenser for a pet dog or cat? Is it really easy to use?
I heard that I can use an automatic food dispenser for my pet dogs so that I don't need to feed them every day. How does it work? Can someone be kind enought to send me some photos of the bowl or the links to buy from?

Answer:
Hi, I don't whether you are talking about automatic pet food dispenser like this http://i.ebayimg.com/00/s/Mjc5WDI3OQ==/$(KGrHqNHJDkE7zIDke(NBPBTfiqbJQ~~60_1.JPG?set_id=8800004005I just use this kind of food dispenser. It feeds my pets whenever they are hungry, so I don't have to adjust my schedule to my pet's feeding habits, especially when I cannot go back home at night sometimes. This kind of bowl delivers fresh food on demand served in a removable, easy-to-clean plastic bowl. Gravity feeds the food to the bowl from the non-toxic plastic hopper that locks securely in place to prevent knockover and spills. Wide openings make cleaning and refilling a breeze. Everything is dishwasher-safe.I bought two bowls last year from eBay, a store called Accessory2go. Here goes the product address: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Favorite-Large-3-5L-Pet-Dog-Cat-Automatic-Dispenser-Food-Dish-Bowl-Feeder-/2 30726780197?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item35b8634525

Question : Should a grown Pomeranian have food left out so he can eat when he wants?
He's healthy, weighs what he should. Does anyone know how most grown Poms are fed, like is there a general rule or something. I have one of those automatic water and food dispensers that I use cause he is completely a house pet! Big time, LOL

Answer:
I have always free fed my dogs and cats,,I was told by the vet that it is a good idea to start young so they don't feel the need to gobble up everything. Also just in case anything ever happened to me and I didn't make it home for a couple of days..(had an accident ort somke tragic situation) then my pets would have at least food and water for a few days..Try it and see if he gobbles it up..my XXXL dog he nibbles throughout the day and generally never eats past 8pm.House pet so is mine LMAOfunny pets! they do make us smile and chuckle at thier antics..
