Question : Spice racks?
I want a spice rack that can hold perhaps over 50 bottles? I am not sure, but i want a collection of MANY types of different spices from all over the world. What type of spice rack is easily accessed, organized, and good with space. I would prefere a wooden tabletop one with glass bottles. What is the largest spice rack capacity and do you recommend on teh wall ones or table top? I want matching glass bottles.
Answer:
you won't find one that big. I have seen the 2 tiered carousel type that are available, but I keep mine in a drawer at waist level by the stove for easy access.....

Question : Where can I find inexpensive spice containers?
I keep finding spice racks that are very expensive...all I really need are a bunch of matching containers (even plastic) that have lids that work for spices...I was thinking maybe a craft store would have these? Any suggestions? Thanks so much!
Answer:
Penzeys sells empty jars (as well as very good herbs and spices). see link

Question : What are some helpful ideas to help blind folks read the SPICE RACK?
Well this was an interview question for my job and I thought it was so random and yeah..lolthey asked me what are some ways i could help a blind person read their spice rack so they know which spice is what.
Answer:
There are Braille Dymo labels available which allow for labeling everything. This is learned in O&M training which the blind person can attend in order to be more independent both at home and in public.

Question : Where should the spice rack go when ordering kitchen cabinets?
I ordered my kitchen cabinets today but forgot a few small things and I'm going back to make some modifications tomorrow. I need to add a stem glass holder below the wine rack. (I don't know why they didn't suggest that to me) Also, a spice rack. Should the spice rack go on the door immediate to the left of the cooktop or should I add two of them (2 doors) to the cabinet that's above the microhood, which is above the cooktop?
Answer:
Where ever you prepare your food.

Question : Are The Spices In Spices That Already Come On Spice Racks In Stores, Good Spices?
like the spice racks from say walmart or bed bath & beyond, target, etc. Are those spices good, or is it best to buy spices from a grocery store and or fill your own containers?THANKS
Answer:
I would say that they are good spices. I got one of those from Bed Bath & Beyond for my wedding and it was just fine. You should buy one of those racks with the pre-labeled spices and after a year refill them with your own containers. That way you have the nice rack and nice labels already and after they "go bad" you can just replace with your own spices.

Question : What would make a good spice rack?
I am in the market for a Spice Rack but wanted to know what people think is a most in a spice rack... in ohter words what spices must be in it for it o be considera great spice rack?I am starting to gather different recepies to cook accasionaly, so in reality i don't know what i really need. I do keep oregano and use it in every meat, poultry or seafood i cook. I am not much of a cook, all i know how to make is Spanish food (specically Dominican Plates)... but i want to add some variety to my offerings, specially now that i have a great kitchen in which i could accommodate a lot of stuff w/out having to buy everything when i need it.Thanks for your answers.
Answer:
HOW MANY SPICES DO YOU USE? If you use a lot of different spices, would you like one large single-level or multi-tiered shelf spice rack that holds all of them? Or like me, would you like a few different spice racks clustered in one area of the kitchen? If you only keep a few spice jars, then perhaps a spice rack that holds six to eight spice containers is sufficient (especially if your space is limited to a small area of the kitchen). ALSO THINK ABOUT WHAT YOU COOK. If you hate spicy food then it wouldn't do much good for me to recommend chili powder. I would suggest checking to see if you have a Penzey's in town. Then go and check it out, find some herbs and spices that fit you tastes. GOOD LUCK.

Question : Is it normal for a 35 year old married man to be attracted to women with large spice racks?
My wife and I had dinner at the home of one of her coworkers and I said, "Wow! Ted's a lucky guy." She gave me a confused look and I motioned to the ample spice rack on the kitchen counter. Seriously, there must have been at least 48 different spices on that thing. Well, my wife rolled her eyes, gave me a dirty look and now she thinks I have a thing for Ted's wife. The funny thing is, although I never really cared for the woman, now that I've seen the size of her spice rack I can't stop thinking about her. Is this normal?
Answer:
Hahahaha! Fantasies of yummy home cooked meals? Buy your wife a big spice rack. Maybe she'll get the hint.
