Answer:
compost is the breaking down of organic material through the digestion of bacteria and fungae. green waste is generally not composted. landfills have to get a special composting permit to take the green waste or yard waste and convert it into compost. typically, they just chop it up and sell it as mulch. mulch is also not the same as compost in case you were wondering. it has not been broken down by organisms, it has been chopped up into little bits by blades.

Everything we eat and drink is "fortified" with industrial waste (sodium fluoride and other chemicals in water, aluminum, mercury, benzene, etc.) or rendered dead animals (euthanized animals, road kill) turned into feed, cosmetics, food additives, etc.). Probably humans too (since many vaccines are made using aborted fetal tissue--cell lines MRC-5 and WI-38).

Hate to tell you ,but all living organisms are. You do not really think wasting all your resources to buy and ingest 'pure foods' is any more the just a marketing scam to get you to pay more for the same thing the rest of us are forced to eat?. Dream on. I count on millions of years of evolution and very good family genetics to process and dispose of toxins and dubious food sources. You need to worry about things less a real problem and worry more about your daily life and interaction with fellow humans . We will all live and die. Stressing does nothing but keep you from enjoying the limited time you have here.

I don't really fancy paying £35 for 7 small plastic waste bins from either IKEA, Sainsbury's, Homebase/Argos, Tesco's, John Lewis and House of Fraser etc. You can get them for like £1-£3 in Wilkinsons or Home Bargains, which Belfast doesn't have?

Personally,I think recycling will help to some degree but how do you make the consumer put any effort into using them.I've seen people throw garbage out of their car window, dump ashtrays in parking lots,leave bulk garbage ( tires, sofas etc.) at mall dumpsters because they were too cheap to take it to the dump.We, the consumers also have to do our part.What are your feelings?

Education, Education, Education. Making community leaders responsible for the citizens of their communities as well.I sat on a committee where we spoke at town hall meetings and all though participation is still not at 100%, it's getting better.I'm trying to start and initiative to have the elementary and high schools recycle and go in and speak with the students since most schools do not really ingrain this into children.Bins will help but education and making people understand their responsibility as consumers and citizens.

I am in the UK. I have recently got a puppy and on my walk route, there isn't a bin that is labeled specifically 'dog waste'. There is, however, a normal regular rubbish bin.I bag up all waste from my dog.Can I put this bag in the normal regular rubbish bin or is that illegal?Thanks!
